Whoa! Put down your whips and put away your nerf gun. I ain’t having it. In the last 3 or 4 months, we have seen some REAL manifestations of the working of spiritual wickedness in rather high places, don’t ya think? From the white house to the outhouse or vice versa as the saying goes.

Read Romans 1

Why do people associate themselves with immaterial things? Yep, you got it, a flag, the Supreme Court rulings, and all other things that are manmade profanations, not God intended. The rainbow is God’s symbol being misused. Somebody dun gon and turnt it into an Asherah symbol.(Quiet!, no talking back or grumbling)

Why let an immaterial thing as a flag declare who you are? (Ecclesiastes 3:20 (KJV) All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.)

Why let the decisions of man change your personal belief in God’s plan?

Why hate another because of their skin hue?

Why does a person pretend to be of another ethnicity?

Why shoot a man in the back that is running away from you?

Why does blue and yellow make green?

Why are there still in existence segregated churches that believe in God as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?

Why is suiting the need used as a defense for a pilferer, a hypocrite, and a dog when there is a separation of church and state? Sit ye a-tions… Huh?

Thar She Flows!

These are not things that make you go hmmm?…Sin is SIN. Whatever is going on with government and personal beliefs -we tend to forget the rulers that we are wrestling against. There are evil spirits wandering around to devour us- waiting to  take control of our spirit while at the same time moving us further away from the ONE and ONLY Maker.  Meanwhile, “back at the Bat cave”, fear is running rampant. When we lose focus on Who God Is, Why Jesus Came, Departed, and will Return, and What the Holy Spirit’ job is, we are fighting a losing battle against those fleshless principalities and powers. Hear ye, hear ye! God will win.

Just because we don’t see them, we see their actions. Every time I read about stuff on the net, I just lift my hands and heart to God and say, Father, God, have mercy on us all. Quite a few Americans hate to admit it – hate is ruling in their lives. Most hide behind and pledge allegiance to a flag (immaterial object) and cling to the words God Bless America when their sin is shining brightly for all to see.  God does not bless sins. God’s kingdom will be the Only place that will be the land of the free and the home of the brave.

At the rate America is going now, this is not a picture Michelangelo would want to paint and put on display in today’s newspapers and art galleries; nor a painting a kindergartener would put on the family fridge. Has anyone sat down with kids to ask them what they think about all the stuff that is going on in the “land of the free?” I have, and believe me, it’s not a pretty picture of their thoughts. Here is the thing….those who are in Christ will wait on the Lord.  There will be an ending to all this sinful madness, thus saith the Lord.

With that being said, let us remember the teachings of Paul in Ephesians 6:10-18 to understand that these happenings are immaterial to the Kingdom of God. Christians need to :

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Awakening- Immaterial things cause us to lose sight of God working on behalf of His children. Do not ever forget that YOU as a child of God have dominion over the Devil. I know it is hard to fathom but we need to remember this in Genesis 50:20 (KJV)- But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Beloved, we can preach and listen to sermons all day long, go to church every day, read the bible every day, and pretend to be a Christian when it suits our need,  protest that we have freedom or the right to do this or be this, but if we don’t put on the whole armour of God, as a Christian, and love one another, we are “living the dream” of those rulers of darkness of this world.

While most are walking around here with blindchitis (relative to bronchitis) as all of this is going on,  at least recognize  “ain’t nobody got time for that” as Sweet Brown would say. It’s evident that some are being given over to a reprobate mind. God has bigger plans and a better place for His children. Be attentive, keep your focus on Jesus.

 

 

 

What… All Humans Have The Same Destiny? Ecclesiastes 9

(1-2) For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.  All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

(11-12) I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

Allow me to place a short focus on the above verses.

Is it comprehensible for us to believe that all humans have the same destiny? For most, it’s kind of sad to think that no matter what we have done under the sun- all have the same destiny. In the human race we find that some humans think that one race is better than the other, another’s financial status is better than the other, and another’s position in life is better than the other, But–Old Solomon has opened some eyes in the way things actually were then, now, and in the future regardless of who you are, where you are, and what you do in this life. Our Maker rules from beginning to end. (TYHS)

Knowing the wisdom in this boils down to what Solomon said. Wisdom that is of the utmost importance is found in verse 1 and 2-Pull out your binoculars so that you can see this:

Let me share a few examples of this statement to help your belief or non-belief:

• Noah- Genesis 6-9, told to take his family on a cruise
• Abraham- Genesis 12, told to remove himself from his father’s home at the age of seventy -five
• Joseph – Genesis 37-50       hatefully removed from his father’s presence because of favoritism
• Ishmael – Genesis 16, 17:20, 21:13, removed from his father because of stepmother’s jealousy
• Jonah- the Book of Jonah, redirected in his tracks to reach his destiny (“in the hand of God”)

There seemed to be a pattern of people being removed from their earthly fathers with the exception of Jonah, (the bible doesn’t say he was told to leave Amittai, his father. It just states he was the son of Amittai) to reach their destiny per God’s Will. Oh well! Dig more into that later.

Now we skip to my lou my darlings on to verses 11 and 12. In the examples given, can we agree that these verses ring true for the human race. Regardless of their Talladega 500 race status, personal battles, riches, and favor; all of these people and more have died their earthly death not knowing their time because of time and chance happening to all. For those who are still living, our time and chance will come for us to die of an earthly death. Same destiny! We don’t know when it is coming, just as we do not know the day or hour of Christ’s return. (Matthew 25:13)

The main purpose of this chapter for me is and for all ARE to become wise in KNOWING that this world, its troubles, and its people, – ALL “are in the hand of God.”

If you haven’t at this time, I urge you to choose at this very moment, who you will serve as did Joshua. (Joshua 24:15) Choose wisely. Choose Jesus! Indeed, as we look at our lives and the lives of others, it is true that regardless of life events, all humans have the same destiny.

Wisdom: She Sees and Hears – Ecclesiastes 7

Flying With Thoughts

You will find in most bibles the title The Value of Practical Wisdom under Ecclesiastes 7. Practical? I had a talk with the Holy Spirit about that word. In Proverbs 8:14 (KJV) having “sound wisdom” is mentioned. After all, wisdom is wisdom right? Owls never look happy and they look like winged cats?

My heart led me to ponder if there were more types of wisdom. Just as Solomon applied his heart to know, to search and seek out wisdom, I’ve learned this is the best way to research things. Use the Heart application. Lo, I found more types on the net. According to giveshare.org,  “There are four types of wisdom: First, there was the perfect wisdom that was with God “in the beginning” as He created the worlds. The second type of wisdom is the wisdom of the world. It is according to the laws and principles of man. Third is the “wisdom of Solomon” given for man. Fourth is the wisdom of God for man.” Ok, pondering done. Now I’m not too concerned about the types of wisdom. I’d rather explore what she looks like and what she gives to us. I’m so visual!

The deeper I get into His word, the more I find just how numerical God is. Most of us have four wisdom teeth when or if they come in. Hmm? Why an owl is a “wise old owl” instead of just wise owl?

Owls are gifted with huge eyes that are said to be one of the best in terms of night vision. Their eyes are said to be laser-sharp making them very effective against their prey during night time. Owls also have large ears with tufts that are very sensitive when it comes to hearing. Their hearing ability is considered crucial to their survival against possible predators like snakes. With laser-like vision and impeccable hearing abilities, owls are often considered very wise as they can easily catch prey and protect themselves from danger at night. (TYHS) Do you see it? Like the owl, there are two things that are crucial to our “survival against possible predators like snakes” here as given to us throughout the Holy Bible. The ability to spiritually See and Hear! Two things we need to use as a defense “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”(Ephesians 6:12) I pray that you too understand the importance of spiritually being able to see and hear, “For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense. But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.” (vs 12) Whoa, the Holy Spirit walked us right into that verse!

With that being said, let us take a look at some characteristics of one who (Hoo! Hoo!) has Practical Wisdom per Solomon:

Is patient in spirit	Does not wish to relive the past
Is not overly righteous	Is not overly wise
Is not overly wicked	Does not take to heart everything that people say
Is not foolish	Fears God
Has more strength than ten rulers of a city	Knows that God made man upright
Has a wise heart	Knows that men are scheme seekers
Is slow to anger	Knows the wickedness of folly
Knows when a woman’s heart is a snare and a net	Considers the work of God
Avoids things that can destroy self	Knows that a just man does not exist on this earth that does good and does not sin
Admits that in their lifetime, they have cursed others in their heart	Knows the capabilities of their adversaries

And might I remind self and others that these characteristics are dependent upon us being able to spiritually see and hear. Practical wisdom is something that needs to be applied daily in our lives.

What is an Altar?

To be sure, I am not referring to the “usually raised structure or place on which sacrifices are offered or incense is burned in worship.” Nor am I referring to the “table on which the eucharistic elements are consecrated or which serves as a center of worship or ritual.”

The Altar has always represented a place of consecration. A place where the worshiper, either at his own will or at the command of God, would either come to lay down all his/her baggage of sins, worship, meet or seek God.

Today in most of our churches, the altar would be that place at the front of the church where people gather for prayer – either to publicly confess Jesus as Savior, receive prayer for healing, consecration for ministry, or Impartation (a word used in many circles).

(11)  And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

As the vision of the sixth seal continues, John sees the martyred saints receiving white robes as they wait for the Lord’s judgment against those who have mistreated them.  What do these white robes symbolize? Two different aspects of righteousness:

1. God’s righteousness that is given to all who have been saved.
2. The martyr’s works of righteousness as they remained faithful to the Lord in the midst of opposition and abuse.

What a very important lesson for each one of us!  These robes of righteousness symbolize for us to two great responsibilities that God gives to mankind:

Knowing and Accepting Your Lot – Ecclesiastes 5:8-20

Lot-(n)- an object used as a counter in determining a question by chance : the use of lots as a means of deciding something: the resulting choice : something that comes to one upon whom a lot has fallen : (share): one’s way of life or worldly fate : (fortune)

We as God’s children often times forget the many gifts He gives to us. I personally had never thought much of a LOT being a gift of God. Solomon confirmed it by his observations. The Holy Spirit stamped it in my heart just now on this great blessed New Years Eve. Wow! I am becoming wiser. 😛

It is a fact that “Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb,and as everyone comes, so they depart.They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands.” (vs 15)

On a serious note, I wish that those who are hoarders of their riches (LOT) given to them by God, would stop thinking that they are going to take their riches with them when they die. I also wish that they would realize, whatever they have is a gift from God. God is a giving God that supply all of our needs. (Philippians 4:19-And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.)

Since we are made in His image, aren’t we suppose to be giving beings that do the same? After all, it is through some of us that the Spirit of God works in our heart to give to the less fortunate so that their needs are met. We are NOT taking anything with us in death. God even takes our soul from our bodies that He breathed into us. It belongs to Him when we die. All things belong to Him. This too is something we need to know and accept. It’s a – (dash ) period.

When death occurs it seems to be customary to put the date of birth – (dash) date of death on the marker for the deceased and/or to list it in an obituary. I’ve never heard an explanation for the -(dash) but what would you think if I said that -(dash) represented ‘one’s way of life or worldly fate’…the things that took place in between life and death? Yeah, their LOT. Hmmm, thinking too much again, I am. (TYHS)

“To eat, drink, and to find satisfaction” in our labor under the sun during our life is a LOT that God has given to all. We all share in that LOT… the -(dash) That is now one of my New Years resolutions after reading the scriptures…Knowing and Accepting My Lot for it is a gift from God. That will be my – (dash). I will choose to “seldom reflect on my life” because I will trust in what God gives me and be totally “occupied with gladness of heart.” Amen (TYHS)

And I close with verses 18-20:

This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart.

I pray that all get to work in Knowing and Accepting Your Lot.
