Do You Need To Change Your Dirt? – Alkalinity vs. Acidity- Part 1

BahamasCruise4-14-16

Beautiful Atlantic Sky

As I was on a cruise a few days ago to Nassau, Bahamas, dirt and death came to my never resting mind while sailing over water of all places. I began to think about all the people whose remains are in the ocean for whatever reason and I prayed for them. I begin to think about water balancing the ship and just thought ‘wow’. Ok, so I think too much.  However, I am amazed at how the Holy Spirit makes me think deeply about things on another level. All I saw was water and cloud formations I’d ne’er seen before as we sailed across the Atlantic Ocean. I love watching the sky. It was beautiful and it felt beautiful. It was a feeling of serenity being close to God’s creations that he spoke forth “In the beginning.”  God is the best balancer and protector of all.

Seeing the ocean also brought to mind the parable of the sower in Luke 8 and Mark 4 (TYHS)  Dirt is something we hardly ever give much thought to (especially when out on the ocean)unless  you are interested in digging graves, disturbing ancient graves, in the field of agriculture/forestry, or organic gardening to say the least.

I would go far as to say that dirt is of our essence because Genesis 2:7(KJV) reads- And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Has anyone given much thought to how many weeds have been marketed as “healing” grasses lately?  How much dirt can be found in oceans?  or Is their really “light at the end of the tunnel?” Those are my off the path thoughts.

As my travels were coming to an end, I thought about and realized many things that were very Holy Spirit inspired.  I’ll share three of them with you. I need to change my dirt, hence this blog. I have no fear or regrets when death presents itself. (For sure now, my children better not let others persuade them per my private pre-planned arrangements or else)  Lastly, for once, I need to focus on me. If you didn’t already know I’m a NATURALLY CERTIFIED caregiver, protector, and thinker for/about others. I even cry for those who start wars and I feel so sorry for the devil and his minions.

Now let us move on to definitions and other information about the A words before sailing any further. It’s back to the classroom science time kids.

Alkalinity – (n) – the quality or state of being alkaline
Alkaline- having the properties of or containing an alkali;
Alkali – (Agriculture): a soluble mineral salt or a mixture of soluble salts, present in some soils, especially in arid regions, and detrimental to the growing of most crops.
Acidity –  1. the quality or state of being acid. 2. sourness; tartness; bitterness
Acid – a sour-tasting material (usually in a solution) that dissolves metals and other materials; an acid is the opposite of a base and has a pH of 0 to 7.
Brief rundown about pH     Reference Used

Simple Definition- pH is a logarithmic measure of hydrogen ion concentration, originally defined by Danish biochemist Søren Peter Lauritz Sørensen in 1909 [1].  pH = -log[H+]  where log is a base-10 logarithm and [H+] is the concentration of hydrogen ions in moles per liter of solution. According to the Compact Oxford English Dictionary, the “p” stands for the German word for “power”, potenz, so pH is an abbreviation for “power of hydrogen”

Theoretical Definition -pH has been more accurately defined as  pH = -log aH+  where aH+ is the hydrogen ion activity. In solutions that contain other ions, activity and concentration are not the same. The activity is an effective concentration of hydrogen ions, rather than the true concentration; it accounts for the fact that other ions surrounding the hydrogen ions will shield them and affect their ability to participate in chemical reactions. These other ions effectively change the hydrogen ion concentration in any process that involves H+.

More important NOTES to think about from this article I found : How to change your soil’s pH
  • Below 7 is acid and above 7 is alkaline.
  • The soil pH is important because it affects the availability of nutrients in the soil.
  • Consequently, most horticultural plants grow best in soils with a pH between 6 (slightly acid) and 7.5 (slightly alkaline).
  • The standard measurement of alkalinity and acidity is known as pH. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. A pH of 7 is neutral, which is neither acid nor alkaline.
The Big Note- But before attempting to raise or lower your soil’s pH, you should first conduct a soil test to determine your current soil pH.

waysidedirt

Wayside and Rocky Soil

And now that brings us to the dirt port: Do you need to change your dirt?  If so, you will need to conduct a soil test. According to the parable, there were four types of dirt/soil: (1) wayside soil (2) rocky soil (3) thorn filled/ overcrowded soil, and (4) good soil. Jesus goes even further to explain how the seeds reacted to the soil upon which it had fallen. It is safe to conclude that the wayside, rocky, and thorn filled soil became full of acidity that changed its pH balance, which limited and/or killed growth activities.

This parable speaks on three things and its outcome; the Sower, the Seeds, and the Soils. Now, let me try to share my modern day understanding of what Jesus said about the first type of dirt. It’s all about hearing and seeing what you let into your heart and mind…alkalinity vs. acidity. It’s about a balance within the heart and mind. It’s about the tilling of your soul. Bottom line: “The sower soweth the word.” (Mark 4:14)

Wayside Soil

Have your spiritual pH fallen below 7?  Have you been trampled on repeatedly by many thus leaving you with a hardened heart even after being exposed to the word of God?  Have you become confused about your purpose in life due to stressors and or disabilities? Have you let some things just fall where they may; in turn allowing others access to come along and peck at the nutrients of your very being?  Have you had a negative change of heart about the word of God? If so, you have  quite possibly fallen to the wayside. Your level of alkalinity has given over to an all-time high acidic level. In other words, the devil has taken control of cultivating this soil.

Note – “The soil pH is important because it affects the availability of nutrients in the soil.”

A Soil Sample View–  As we know, nutrients are needed for all living things to survive and grow. This soil can represent ongoing stressors and or disability issues in a Believer’s/ Christian’s life that may harden one’s heart against the Word. It could represent people who have earnestly prayed  to God for answers and have yet to receive a reply. After all, we are all impatient humans. We grow tired of dealing with constant negatives and negative people. Negativity in many cases cause stress. It limits our ability to sow both physically and spiritually. Just take a look at the negative things sowing around the world.

If a person believes he/she has no way of seeing the light of day, forget the light at the end of the tunnel; the stress and or disability in most cases will not allow the word of God to penetrate the heart unless therein exists a lit opening at the end of its tunnel. The devil dwells in dark tunnels which have no openings for light to penetrate its soil. He will come by the wayside and acidize the soils pH balance as he works to block penetration of the word (needed nutrient) of God.

heartburn

Heartburn

However, beneath the hardness, somewhere there used to exist a spiritually balanced and penetrable soil that allowed the Word to provide its nutrients. Can you think about when, who, why, and what caused your dirt/soil to harden? Do you often feel abandoned by God? Do you get tired of church folk saying “everybody is going through something?” That saying has become a programmed church motto pretty much telling you to go away. Such a response is also lacking the compassion that Jesus had for all that came unto Him.

In essence, fellow Believers are telling you that they don’t have time for your issues when those five words fall out of their mouth and not their heart. (Ok, shoot me!) Are we not suppose to be there for one another, if only to hear? Did Jesus say to anyone that approached him with a problem?… “Everybody is going through something.”  No. In the Holy Bible, we will find many instances of which Jesus only told one individual to go away, or “get thee hence” and that was Satan and/or Satan’s indwelling in someone. This is why I believe that saying is about as wayside as one can get! It’s kind of like that overly used saying- “I get it.” I get tired of hearing it.

Before you know it, sermons will be given via text message while sitting in church. “Hallelujah” and “Amen” replies will be sent via text. It will be a pity for those who don’t own a cell phone. People have mastered a way of avoiding face to face and voice to ear communication with fellow Believers. It’s all wayside. Gasp! (Ok, so maybe I’m overthinking it with this scenario or maybe not?)

Nevertheless the cause for the hardening, there is still the opportunity to change your dirt.  Jesus taught his disciples that whatever seed falls upon this dirt will experience this: “Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.” (Luke 8: 12 )

Therefore beloved,  be encouraged to “believe and be saved.”  Let not your heart be troubled by the acidity within it. Ye that once believed in God, can believe in Him again so that ye believe also in Jesus. The right pH level of alkalinity that is detrimental to your growth in Him is in His word, not by the wayside.

Stay tuned next week for part 2- Rocky Soil

The Gift of Piety from the Spirit of the Lord

*Piety- n- reverence for God or devout fulfillment of religious obligations: the quality or state of being pious: dutiful respect or regard for parents, homeland, etc.:
*Syn.- 1. respect, veneration, awe. 2. godliness, devotion, devoutness, sanctity, holiness, faithfulness
* Hebrew- Yir’ah – fear (of God), respect, reverence, piety

“To sum up, remember that unless piety and your interest be in the same thing, piety cannot be maintained in any man.”-Epictetus

My Key Belief-  Piety in its full manifestation comes directly from the Holy Spirit. Piety at this stage is something we cannot produce on our own. Let us think about what took place on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2.
Using the KJV, Isaiah 11:2 states- And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;-(i.e. Piety)

piety

In this world, fear can be classified as alarming respect. For example, a lot of us have earthly levels of fear, i.e. a fear of flying, animals, truth, and what others do or say to us. The idiom works well here “Once bitten, twice shy” (If somebody is said to be once bitten twice shy, it means that someone who has been hurt or who has had something go wrong will be far more careful the next time.) Experiences of fear are great lessons, yea?

We unconsciously have respect of that fear by staying far away from it as possible and consciously have respect of by remembering the bite. Simply put- Fear of puts us in a position of being controlled by whatever the fear is. With that being said, it leads me to ask what a lot of us ponder in our hearts and mind. Why should we have fear /Yir’ah of the Lord? Specifically, why should we, when He says that He loves us? The reasons will come directly from the Word of God as shared below from Genesis 20 and other chapters about Abraham. I feel the Spirit working in my heart, as I write, so let me pray.

Prayer- Abba Father, Holy Spirit, let the focus and the truth manifest itself from Genesis 20 about piety. Out of all the other verses that speak of piety, you have led me here for a reason. Lord, thank you for the death of things and people you are removing and replacing in my life, even those things I fear letting go of. Lo, Father, I don’t understand why you need me to lose, but I know you will provide and renew in another area away from those and places that hinder my growth in you. All I ask is not to be moved too far away from my children and grandchildren. In Psalm 37, David said “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” You have called me out Lord to walk upon your many oceans without the fear of drowning as I trust in and give you all reverence due you. In Jesus name, let your Spirit lead others who read this to understand where this message fits in their life because your truth is deeper than we can even imagine. Amen. I’ve been led to share this song of worship with you. (TYHS)

This has been put in the order given to me, be not confused. Tis, the season of migration til we get to God’s POINT. (TYHS)

Genesis 20:11 – And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake. (What one thinks when one has a reverence of God and others do not) As the story goes, God came to Abimelech in a dream and put fear in which turned to fear of, so that Abimelech does right by a man who already has fear of God. In short, piety was produced by the Holy Spirit of God.

In Genesis 20:6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her. Can we agree that this example shows that piety keeps us from sinning against God?

Verse 17 -So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children. Can we agree that piety allows one to be healed? Did God show Abimelech love?

Verses 7-8– Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine. Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid. Can we agree that piety allows us to be obedient to the word of God without giving it a second thought? Can we agree that piety allows us to tell others about God’s power?

Verse 13-15 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother. And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife. And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee. Can we agree that even piety of God exists within those that lie out of fear of what others may say or do to them?(Read the full story about Abraham) Can we agree that piety leads us to wander to get to the place God has set before us through other venues? (Oh Lord! TYHS!)

In closing I believe that upon receiving the gift of Piety from the Spirit of the Lord we can understand migrating to where God wants and needs us to be, forever in His presence.(TYHS):

Genesis 20:1– And Abraham journeyed from thence toward…..

Genesis 18:33 -And the Lord went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

Genesis 12:1– Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

Genesis 15:1– After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. (God’s POINT)

A Key for you– Having Piety of God and a true interest in Him brings forth His love and shield of protection which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. For He alone is God.

Many thanks to you beloved readers for stopping by and spending time with my thoughts! I pray that you received a blessing and that you never be led astray by me nor others, from the Word of God.  May the gift of Piety rest upon you. One more gift to go!

🙂 Sorry! The Holy Spirit wouldn’t let me end this…have to sneak in some Job

Job 4:6- Is not this thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the uprightness of thy ways?

The Gift of Fortitude from the Spirit of the Lord

Fortitude-n- strength of mind that enables a person to encounter danger or bear pain or adversity with courage: strength
Synonyms- backbone, constancy, fiber, grit, guts, intestinal fortitude, pluck, spunk
Antonym-spinelessness

Let’s pray- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit let me keep my focus on the scriptures that you’ve given me. Bring forth the message you want me to convey about fortitude in Jesus name. Amen

In this blog, I’ll be sharing examples of a few people in the bible that received the Gift of Fortitude from the Spirit of the Lord.

Isaiah 53: 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
  • Jesus- The fullness of Fortitude from the Spirit of the Lord in action
Luke 12:11-12- And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
  • Trusting in the Spirit of the Lord for strength and courage.

In these two verses, two things were made clear to me…the Spirit of the Lord was in control and the Spirit of the Lord gives courage that strengthens.

A Discovery I made – Fortitude has a lot to do with where TRUST is placed. We have three options: TRUST In God; trust in self; or trust in man.courage2-

We must trust in God in such a way that this gift is available to use when we are facing adversities and adversaries. The Lord wants us to see that this gift is necessary to do His will and for His children to be victorious. (TYHS) Why is it necessary you may ask? Below are questions to help you answer this question.

  • Who is God?
  • Who is man?
  • Is anyone or anything i.e. the government, armies, humans, spiritual forces of evil, mountains, etc. stronger than God?
  • Which is easier, to trust the seen (man)or to trust the unseen(God)?
  • Who can help us fight against sin?
  • Why do we easily fall into sin?
  • Is it easy for us to tell a boss, a pastor, or government official face to face that they are making wrong decisions; that they are sinning?
  • What limits us from confronting transgressions?
  • Ultimately, our life is in the hands of _____?

Pull out your bibles, its study time. You will find wonderful instances and points about the Gift of Fortitude from the Spirit on the Lord resting upon those going through something and becoming victorious. Please read the following:

  • 2 Chronicles 16-17 – Asa trusted in man; Jehoshaphat “sought” God.
  • 2 Chronicles 26- Uzziah’s pride and downfall. Azariah and 80 other “courageous priests” were strong enough to confront King Uzziah. Keynote-Azariah had a support system in place.
  • Joshua – Fighting against the wicked and taking possession. Who did Joshua serve?
  • Samuel 17- David, a ‘youngun’, kills a giant. Where did little David get his confidence to go against big Goliath?
  • Acts 27- Courage to face your storms and encourage others.

I think that’s enough reading for you to do. I pray that it gives you deep thoughts about the Gift of Fortitude from the Spirit of the Lord and how to receive it.

Stenght in the LordLastly, the basic point I want to brand about the Gift of Fortitude from the Spirit of the Lord is this-> God wants us to look to Him for what we cannot do ourselves. From the above scriptures, do you understand the importance of obtaining and using this gift? Do you understand how this gift is received? Have you ever witnessed a child of God’s on their death-bed say “Lord, I don’t want to die?” TYHS for that question!

Let us pray. Father, I repent of all my sins. Forgive me Lord. I trust you Lord. Help me, your child, as you have helped many. Rest the gift of fortitude on me so that I can stand against all evil that try to weaken me. As your child, I do not want to be spineless in your ways. Spinelessness does not glorify you. In your son, Jesus name I pray. Thank you Holy Spirit – Amen. Amen. Amen.

The Gift of Counsel from the Spirit of the Lord

Counsel – n- advice; opinion or instruction given in directing the judgment or conduct of another; Theology-one of the advisory declarations of Christ, considered by some Christians as not universally binding but as given for aid in attaining moral perfection.
Shelia’s Definition-  Correct decisions; You KNOW what you should do.

Personal Moment– Last week while beginning this writing, it dawned on me that I have a habit that I have inherited from my mom. It was brought to my attention by my son and other people I know a few months ago. When giving advice, I always say “you need to do…” When talking to my mom she is ALWAYS saying “you need to” or “they need to.” I don’t recall hearing her say the words “you should.”  Last Sunday after church services, a person that used to keep me as a child, told my son that his 3-year-old daughter was “bossy like her grandma.” She went on to say “Shelia came out of the womb giving instructions.”  Convicted, I felt. I found it odd that I was reminded of this habit while writing about COUNSEL.(TYHS) I suppose it’s a gift from birth that I have yet to master to God’s liking. Yes, I should  work on being more like Jesus when “giving instructions” and making correct decisions, aka counsel.

hear me now 2

Ok, so we’ve arrived at our third gift from the Spirit of the Lord. Yeah! This is all a part of God’s grace leading us home. Amen.  It appears to me that once we receive wisdom, then comes understanding  leading us open to receive and use the gift of counsel in its correct form. Once the heart and mind is right with God, we are in a better place to receive and give counsel from the Lord. We will be operating through God’s perspective, not our own. It’s all about the Lord stepping into us and us stepping into others. “Can you hear me now?”

This gift from the Spirit of the Lord allows us to do at a minimum at least two (2) things before becoming the maximum in Christ: use both wisdom and understanding before giving counsel. People with the gift of counsel are well-appointed to say and do what should be changed from bad to good.  For example- In the church, a few people have observed that there exist many dysfunctional and divisional ministries. Such ministries do not glorify our Lord. People that have received the gift of counsel have the ability and know-how to both offer a solution for and resolve problems.

Listen. Improper counsel opens the door for division in the body of Christ. When that door is open and godliness is shut out, anyone can come in and try to seduce members into their way of thinking how things should be running.(TYHS) Remember the letters to the seven churches? The Church in Philadelphia only appears to have operated using proper counsel received from God. Rev. 3:7-13 NIV ;  Rev. 3:7-13 KJV

God tells us that this church was weak and we also learn that NO church is perfect.  But, God said that he will keep such a church from the hour of trial/temptation. In my heart I believe this to be so because the church used the Lord’s gift of counsel to their best ability. Did you notice that even through their weakness, this church did two things: (1) kept His commands and (2)endured patiently…not just endured?

The greatest form of counsel we have received from our God is in the form of Jesus’ parables.(MHO) Let me share two parables and brief thoughts on His instructions.

Matthew 9:16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

Change- Counsel BlogSelf- Check Moment 1- This is a habit infused in humans since the day of Adam and Eve’s disobedience. We try to patch up sin and things get worse.  None of us like to give up things, nor beings that we become attach to; nor the ways we become attached to doing things when outside the will of God. We are hardcore rebels when it comes to a good change. Did you know that rebelliousness rejects counsel and limits wisdom and understanding?  When we rebel against correct counsel, it is clear to God and others that we lack wisdom and understanding.  We are quick to give up on God’s counsel when things are not going the way we want them to go and when other options are presented to us that are not in line with God’s counsel. Jesus clearly counsels us on what happens when you mix the old with the new. When we are new in Christ, old ways should disappear. Change…He never said it would be easy.

Luke 6:46-49 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

doers 3Self- Check Moment 2-This parable counsels us by letting us know that we should not have the mind-set of “do as I say, not as I do.” As followers of Christ, we should both say and do what he counsels us to do to receive the gift of counsel which gives us the ability to counsel others. James gave us great counsel to back up Jesus’ teaching:  “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:”(James 1:21-23)

Word to the Children of God- The Gift of Counsel infuses us with the ability to look directly at our “natural face in a glass:” Let us stop being deceived and stop deceiving others by pretending that we have received the true Gift of Counsel from the Spirit of the Lord.

Can you find anywhere in God’s word that Jesus only spoke and did not do?  This counselor in training closes her case. 😛bible and gavel

The Gift of Wisdom from the Spirit of the Lord

Find the seed at the bottom of your heart and bring forth a flower.– Shigenori Kameoka

wisdom- God KindA Perk- The gifts from the Spirit of the Lord are all gifts that we are to ask for. They are not resting upon us as they rested on the Root of Jesse. I discovered this as I was briefly studying the gifts. Lord given wisdom gives us the ability to be beautifully great and strong discerners. Solomon’s wisdom was counted among the greatest. (1Kings 4:29-30-1; 1Kings 10:23)

As we know, wisdom is mostly referred to as “she” and “it” in the bible. So… it’s fair to conclude that wisdom is indeed a female epitome, not a male nor a transgender epitome?  There is absolutely no confusion to wisdom’s gender identity or gender expression here unless we want to view wisdom as a seahorse. The Fact-wisdom’s epitome of being a “she” and an “it” in the bible is never explained. That stands as is. However on the other hand, there could be a point to argue since “it” was in the beginning. I won’t argue the point because I’m not going outside of what the Spirit of the Lord is showing me at this time- “She” is it.

I found that wisdom is considered the “first” or “highest” gift of the “Holy Spirit.” So I asked self why that is. I believe it is because of the following verses. (TYHS)

Proverbs 8:22-23; 30 was an eye opener. Wisdom Speaks. I’ve never paid attention to these verses before (you read vs. 11-36)

22-23;30- The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was….Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

Wow, have you ever given deep thought about those verses? I’ve just experienced a cleansing and am in such awe right now as I write this. Let me calm down! (TYHS)

And then there is Job 28:12-28. I could not get away from what Job said about God and wisdom in verses 26 & 27.

26 When he (God)made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:
27-“Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.”

And those words threw me back to:

Genesis 1:2– And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

(TYHS! TYHS!) If the Holy Spirit keeps speaking to me, this post will be 8,000 words or more on this subject alone. That is reserved for my upcoming book…can’t share everything here!

Let me share a few questions and thoughts on wisdom. In this study, I have discovered that the heart’s condition is dependent upon us getting wisdom from God. Please read :Ps 90:12;Pro 4:6-7; Ecc:10:2; Col. 2:2-3(I’m so in awe of that finding- TYHS) In my Heart and Mind seminars, absolutely no one leaves without knowing the importance of the heart’s condition with God, including me.

  • How does one get wisdom? James 1:5
  • Who gives us wisdom? Dan 1:17
  • What is the difference in wisdom from God and wisdom from reading other books? (James 3:17– from God) It has been my experience when reading other books that I have gained more knowledge instead of more wisdom. When reading the words inspired by God, I can harden not my heart-receive His gift of wisdom to make pure decisions when it concerns people. Sometimes our hearts change on a daily basis, depending on us being hurt or loved. I will not lie…sometimes that gift is hidden from me because I have not been obedient in heart to His word. We all have disobedient days, right? When reading other books, I learn about why a person’s heart may be the way it is and the actions that stem from it, which becomes both knowledge and news to me.
  • Can the gift of wisdom be taken away? Yes (Are you shocked?)Isaiah 29: 13-15– Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
  • This one is not a question. I disagree with these statements I found “The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit is a concept in Catholicism. The gifts refer to the seven graces bestowed upon Catholics who follow their faith correctly. …..Catholics are encouraged to use these gifts in daily life. Gifts come as a byproduct of living a spiritually pure life, and also through the sacrament of confirmation, a Catholic rite of passage”  It is not a concept in Catholicism. It is for ALL Christians who follow God with their heart. You can’t use His gifts daily if the Lord has not rested upon you. The Root of Jesse is the “rite of passage.” As Christians, our desire should be to become closer to the Lord, to receive the Gifts from the Spirit of the Lord. And that’s the essence of what I have to say about those statements. If I have offended anyone, forgive me.
  • Having wisdom teeth does not make us wise.

wisdom fire marshmallowWhoa!!! Marshmallows on fire for a moment. I have experienced that wisdom often makes me very discerning…full of eyes rolling everywhere like Ezekiel’s wheel. It’s not a scary feeling when I experience such, it’s more of an ‘I’m ready to see; I don’t want to know because I can’t believe someone is that way feeling’….but I accept what God is showing me. Forgive, move forward.  It is sad that we have to treat some Christians with a 7 foot pole as we continue to love them. Wisdom from God is a very powerful gift.

I pray that you find with the help of the Holy Spirit deeper insights to wisdom from these additional readings and quote below: 1 Cor. 2:6-16; 2 Chronicles 1:7-12;Daniel 2:20-23;Proverbs 14:33 and Acts 22:7(can’t leave out something about Moses)

Faith Fruit Fact – Not Facts

Great Saturday afternoon to you beloved fruits! Let’s get it started!

The most important verse about what Faith is can be found in Hebrew 11:1. My intent is to share with you my deeper insight of what the Holy Spirit has shared with me when listening to a sermon on Galatians 5:22 -23 about the fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Most know that the fruit of the Spirit have many types of fruit, yet is not referred to in the bible as fruits of the Spirit. Although the sermon focused on love, my mind wandered towards the words faith and fruit and why the words are not used in a plural form. I prayed for a deeper understanding of this communication.  Most who know me, know that I have  a pet peeve about the lack of communication when it comes to relationships in Christ and getting “stuff” done. Sooo… I was led by the Holy Spirit to look up a few synonyms for the word fruit because I’ve never thought of this word as having synonyms. I am a very visual being, so let’s get visual about this to see the evidence of the not seen! 😛

Synonyms: pod, ovary, capsule, fruitlet, berry, produce, etc.

Pomegranate-A Fruit with Inner Significance

Pomegranate-A Fruit with Inner Significance

I’m roving somewhere with this…hold on to your reins. It’s going to be a heart opener and the sweetest fruit to those who feel deeply about knowing the intricacies of God. God does not hide everything from us. Most lack a spiritual understanding of simple words and actions in the bible. This is when the Holy Spirit hovers within, indwelling you with things not seen by others. I began to think about the word faith being used throughout many events in the bible….no synonyms needed here. Did you notice that each one of the synonyms is singular? What do these things have in common? They are one fruit or one thing that has many seeds or substances inside, yet remains as A Fruit, not fruits. (TYHS) The Lord Our God is ONE, yet most view Him as a Triune Being? The Lord our God is with us everywhere we go. Still roving with me?

Now let me share with you a breakdown of Hebrews 11:1- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.(TYHS)

  • Substance- the inner significance or central meaning of something written or said: syn.- ingredient, element, body, matter, stuff, material, crux
  • Things – whatever is apprehended as having actual, distinct, and demonstrable existence; anything that is or may become an object of thought: syn.- belongings, possessions, effect, stuff, substance
  • Hoped – to look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence; to believe, desire, or trust: syn.-anticipated, yearned, expected, wished, trusted, wanted
  • Evidence – that which tends to prove or disprove something; ground for belief; something that makes things plain or clear: syn.-proof, confirmation, indication, sign, data
  • Not – is the general declarative form of “no” indicating a negation of a related statement which it usually precedes
  • Seen – past participle of see; perceived with the eyes; looked at
  • For(preposition)- a —used as a function word to indicate purpose; b —used as a function word to indicate an intended goal c —used as a function word to indicate the object or recipient of a perception, desire, or activity syn.- aimed at, on behalf of, being, as long as
  • The- (definite article) used to indicate a person or thing that has already been mentioned or seen or is clearly understood from the situation
  • Is- present 3d singular of be: be(verb/intransitive) —used to indicate the identity of a person or thing ;used to describe the qualities of a person or thing; used to indicate the condition of a person or thing –

Now wasn’t that stimulatingly deep? Sometimes we do not understand clearly the meaning of what is said because we let simple words like not, for, is, and the, fly unrefined over our heads. Admit it! Many of us study faith for the wrong reason. Many bypass its truth and do not exercise it daily in life. Wisdom Works!

Roving complete: Faith Fruit Fact- There is but ONE FAITH, ONE FRUIT- Jesus the Christ, our Lord and Savior. He is the Substance, He is the great Hope, He is the Evidence. He is the POD, the Ovary, the Capsule, the Fruitlet, the Berry, and the Sole Produce of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Remember The Shema.

The deeper insight is that we all need to understand what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is really about. Do you have a deeper understanding now? I do. (Hint- Galatians 5:22-23) Thank you Holy Spirit!   May you join me in giving all praise and glory to The Lord, our God, our Faith, and our Fruit.

When Speaking About the Dead … No Corrupt Communication, Please

I had to speak at a funeral for a relative this past weekend. I don’t like sad funerals, even though it is a sad occasion. I believe a funeral should portray the heart of the person when they were living.

As I was meditating and studying God’s word today, it really dawned on me that the dead can do nothing about what is said about them at a funeral. However, most people do avoid saying something negative.  De mortuis nil nisi bene [dicendum] (“Of the dead, nothing [spoken] unless good.”), comes to mind.

I began to ponder when did the tradition of speaking no ill will of the dead begin? Then I began to think about evil people like Hitler, Idi Amin, Yakubu Gowon, Pol Pot, Isabella I of Spain, Ilse Koch, and others. What good could have been said at their funeral? I still did not have an answer until I was preparing a newsletter about the fire power of the tongue. Isn’t the Holy Spirit amazing? Here’s the answer received-

James 4:11-12 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

ministering graceDo you know what else the Holy Spirit revealed to me? Ephesians 4:29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. In other words beloved, the dead cannot hear what anyone says about them. Therefore it is in the best interest of the speaker to edify those hearers in attendance. Why take a chance on running off those that need to hear about God’s saving grace? Sometimes attending a funeral is the only time some step foot inside a church.

The moment I began speaking, the Holy Spirit guided my speech. Luke 12:12 comes to mind- “For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.” Grace was ministered to those in hearing distance of my voice. To my surprise, the opening scriptures and prayer by the first pastor and the eulogy delivered by another pastor fell in line with the scriptures and words I had used. This confirmed to me, that the Holy Spirit was in control. The pastor that delivered the eulogy told me after the funeral -“You opened it up for the Spirit to minister to those not saved, brought some peace to the family. You preached well about his character. You really put laughter into the hearts of many, and you brought me on out to bring home the message while the Holy Spirit closed it on out. You brought it out! That’s all God.”

I shared this not to brag on self, nor others, but to brag on the Holy Spirit working through us all to deliver one message. No corrupt communication, please. Corrupt communication does not edify its hearers nor does it glorify God. (TYHS) Let me tell, you, there is no greater feeling than knowing that God is glorified through the things we say about others and that others lost learn about God’s saving grace. Allow me to share with you my closing words for the hearers:

We have lost a brother, though he had problems; was still a strong-willed and VERY intelligent person. We all have problems. A brother who was unable to deal with those problems- because of crouching sin-but you know what God told Cain in Genesis 4:7- “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” Sin is crouching at everyone’s door, that’s a problem for each and everyone in this world, everyone in these pews and on this platform so don’t ever think one soul is holier than the other. _________ was unable to rule over that crouching sin, But God knew his heart and his struggles. There is nothing in our lives that is hidden from God. From here on, God is in control of ____ rest. We have the memories.
To everyone within the range of my voice, hear what the Holy Spirit says- never become blind or deaf to those that need the Lord; that need your help; that need your prayers. Contrary to what we may think, or what we think we know, everybody doesn’t know how to or know when to call upon the Lord. That’s when the children of God step in for the Lord to do His will. We stop letting mammon’s (cars, money, houses, jobs) rule over our life. God did not breathe life into us for us to worship things, nor to let things rule over us. We are here to serve the Lord and the Lord only. (ok, so it got quiet when I said that… so quiet that you would have been able to hear the church mouse eating cheese back in the fellowship hall)  🙂dora awkward silence
Be that light for those you see hurting, especially those who are quietly hurting that need your help. Serving the Lord comes first. Christians have been given authority to teach others to obey what Jesus has commanded. That means serving and helping those who are lost, those who are struggling with addictions, sickness, with financial or mental issues. Sin is crouching at your door too. No thing and no one can replace a loved one that no longer breathes in our midst. There is nothing anyone living can do for the dead, no one but the Lord.
And for those who have not given themselves to Christ, now is the time for you to come to Him. It’s not enough just to be labeled a “good person” or even think yourself as a “good person.” Death and sin have no preferences. Death and sin DOES NOT care whether you are good, broken, rich, poor, pretty or ugly. Jesus does care- giving over your life to Jesus will guarantee eternal life in His kingdom-that’s God’s preference. Come to him, because He will be coming at any moment for you too. Prepare yourself, for He will be with you always even when death and sin is crouching at your door.
My brother, may he rest in peace. Lord, have mercy on his soul. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Amen

Thank you for stopping by and may you be blessed.

Jesus Is The Chlorophyll That Gives The Christian A Characteristic Color- Holiness

Opening Thoughts- I was reading an Article of the Day from The Free Dictionary by Farlex on my cell as I wandered outside to look at my rose bushes I planted last September in honor of my “only” daughter’s thirtieth birthday. It’s a daily habit of reading to keep my brain alert, along with the Holy Bible to keep my mental and spiritual sense intact. And you know me, the Holy Spirit alerted me to write a blog about it. I held a few seminars several weeks ago titled Change Your Color for several church groups, and I am in awe by the Spirit of God sending me this colorful message on today. To Him, be the glory and honor. He has me thinking deep thoughts about light and its characteristic color- HOLINESS.  My holy roses absorbing light!  😛

So today’s article was about Chlorophyll. The Holy Spirit spoke to me as I was reading this- ‘Chlorophyll is a green pigment that gives most plants their color and enables them to carry out photosynthesis, the process through which plants get energy from light. Chlorophyll absorbs light in the red and blue-violet portions of the visible spectrum; the green portion is not absorbed and reflected, gives chlorophyll its characteristic green color. Only one animal has been found to use the chlorophyll it has eaten to perform photosynthesis itself. What is it?’ It’s not a chameleon.

As Children of God, let us ask ourselves- What is the process we must go through that will enable us to get energy from The Light? Using the wording in the article, I want to share with you the message received. (TYHS) Stay with me through the end here, ok? I know this is a long post; however it is a much needed post especially for those who are in darkness and those Children of God who have strayed somewhat from the light.

Here are six things shared with me by the Holy Spirit concerning the Christian process of photosynthesis:

  1. Know who formed light and the Light
Genesis 1: 1- 4– In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Isaiah 45:5-7I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
  2. Know who the Light is
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Matthew 3: 16-17– And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
  3. Know the purpose of the Light
1 Peter 2:9-10- 9 -But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Acts 26: 15-18– And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
John 12:45-46And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
  4. Know what can be found in the Light
John 14:6-Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1 John 5: 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
John 1:1-4 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
  5. Know how to absorb the Light
Matthew 6:20-23– But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Joshua 1: 8 -This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
1Peter 3:18– But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
  6. Know who God hears
    John 9:31
    – Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Closing Thoughts- Light brings life to ALL humans, plants, and animals. Without The Light , humans would be spiritually “blind as a bat” as the saying goes and experience stunted growth. Remember how God led His people to see where He was leading them? (TYHS) Meditate and let the Holy Spirit reveal to you why these verses are presented.

Exodus 13:21-22– And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

Isaiah 9:2 -The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Also, in Matthew 4:13-17– And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

I am by no means belittling our Savior when I say that He, Jesus is the chlorophyll (pigment per se) that gives the Christian light. The Light enables us to get energy/eternal life through Him. The Light has a characteristic color- HOLINESS. God said be ye Holy for I am Holy (Leviticus 11: 44 & 1 Peter 1:16)

Wisdom: She Sees and Hears – Ecclesiastes 7

Flying With Thoughts

Flying With Thoughts

You will find in most bibles the title The Value of Practical Wisdom under Ecclesiastes 7. Practical? I had a talk with the Holy Spirit about that word. In Proverbs 8:14 (KJV) having “sound wisdom” is mentioned. After all, wisdom is wisdom right? Owls never look happy and they look like winged cats?

My heart led me to ponder if there were more types of wisdom. Just as Solomon applied his heart to know, to search and seek out wisdom, I’ve learned this is the best way to research things. Use the Heart application. Lo, I found more types on the net. According to giveshare.org,  “There are four types of wisdom: First, there was the perfect wisdom that was with God “in the beginning” as He created the worlds. The second type of wisdom is the wisdom of the world. It is according to the laws and principles of man. Third is the “wisdom of Solomon” given for man. Fourth is the wisdom of God for man.” Ok, pondering done. Now I’m not too concerned about the types of wisdom. I’d rather explore what she looks like and what she gives to us. I’m so visual!

The deeper I get into His word, the more I find just how numerical God is. Most of us have four wisdom teeth when or if they come in. Hmm? Why an owl is a “wise old owl” instead of just wise owl?

see you owlOwls are gifted with huge eyes that are said to be one of the best in terms of night vision. Their eyes are said to be laser-sharp making them very effective against their prey during night time. Owls also have large ears with tufts that are very sensitive when it comes to hearing. Their hearing ability is considered crucial to their survival against possible predators like snakes. With laser-like vision and impeccable hearing abilities, owls are often considered very wise as they can easily catch prey and protect themselves from danger at night. With these abilities, owls are then likened to the wise elders of the previous generations. (Courtesy of http://www.knowswhy.com/why-are-owls-considered-wise/)

(TYHS) Do you see it? Like the owl, there are two things that are crucial to our “survival against possible predators like snakes” here as given to us throughout the Holy Bible. The ability to spiritually See and Hear! Two things we need to use as a defense “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”(Ephesians 6:12) I pray that you too understand the importance of spiritually being able to see and hear, “For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense. But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.” (vs 12) Whoa, the Holy Spirit walked us right into that verse!

With that being said, let us take a look at some characteristics of one who (Hoo! Hoo!) has Practical Wisdom per Solomon:

  • Is patient in spirit
  • Does not wish to relive the past
  • Is not overly righteous
  • Is not overly wise
  • Is not overly wicked
  • Does not take to heart everything that people say
  • Is not foolish
  • Fears God
  • Has more strength than ten rulers of a city
  • Knows that God made man upright
  • Has a wise heart
  • Knows that men are scheme seekers
  • Is slow to anger
  • Knows the wickedness of folly
  • Knows when a woman’s heart is a snare and a net
  • Considers the work of God
  • Avoids things that can destroy self
  • Knows that a just man does not exist on this earth that does good and does not sin
  • Admits that in their lifetime, they have cursed others in their heart
  • Knows the capabilities of their adversaries

And might I remind self and others that these characteristics are dependent upon us being able to spiritually see and hear. Practical wisdom is something that needs to be applied daily in our lives.

Enjoy this quote:

Three passions have governed my life:

The longings for love, the search for knowledge,

And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].

Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.

In the union of love I have seen -In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision

Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge.

I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].

I have wished to know why the stars shine.

Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,

But always pity brought me back to earth;

Cries of pain reverberated in my heart

Of children in famine, of victims tortured

And of old people left helpless.

I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,

 And I too suffer.

This has been my life; I found it worth living.

Who Does God Say That He Is?

Great Saturday Afternoon ! I was listening to a sermon on line the other day while riding the train through Genesis again. I just seem to never get enough of reading Genesis. Every time I read it, I am excited about new spiritual messages received from God.  Ok, so the preacher was asking… “Who do you say that you are when you profess to be a believer?” He went on to say that “many inside the church do not know who they are in Christ…even so, after many years of attending church, there are some of you sitting here in these pews that don’t know who you are, nor do you know who God is.”  I thought wow, that’s a harsh and sad truth. Of course that got me to thinking about Who does God say that He is? Not, who do the people in the bible say that He is.  I decided to research. Boarding train…Toot! Toot!  smiley-welcome-train     Reflective Vocabulary Words

**************

I remember thinking back to a time (dinosaur age) when my Pawpaw was telling me about and teaching me how to read the Holy Bible. I remembered me asking him, how did God just poof out of nowhere in the beginning and the first part of the story doesn’t tell who He is, but it tells what He does and say. My smart and quick thinking Pawpaw said…”Little Question Mark, ( I don’t think he ever called me by my birth name) the way that you get to know anyone is usually by spending time with them to see what they do and say. King David said in the book of Psalms that The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Oh! the verses he quoted were from Psalms 19:1 and 14 which I found out later on.

You know, the Holy Spirit brings to remembrance who my Pawpaw was in Christ and who he was to me when I go through things he left me. As I have aged, I’ve come to know the answers to the many questions I used to ask him as a child, even those that I “change the subject” on.

Ok, so here is what I found about Who does God say that He is.  It wasn’t much written,. However, either through our experiences or through reading the Holy Bible, we know about what He has done, who others say that He is, and what He says He will do.

  • Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last
  • Exodus 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
  • Exodus 34: 4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone. 5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

Have you ever heard the wind speak? I sing with joy, sing with me my loves(TYHS)…Said the night wind to the little lamb: Do you see what I see? ‘Way up in the sky, little lamb, Do you see what I see?  A star, a star  Dancing in the night,: With a tail as big as a kite. :  I see that God “proclaimed” that He is “The Lord, The Lord God”. He is not just God, but “The Lord, The Lord God.”  Do you see it?

  • He is Alpha and Omega (Rev 1:8;22:13
  • He is Mercy, Grace ,Patience, and Good(Exodus 34:6) See it!
  • He is Truth  (John 14
  • He is Light (John 12:42-48
  • He is The Door (John 10:7-10

Without prolonging this message, let me sum up what the Holy Spirit has shared with me. I have NO doubt about Who God says that He is.  Remember in Genesis where He says “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness…?” I profess that He is the Lord God. He is Jesus. He is the Holy Spirit.  He is also our Heavenly Father(Matthew 5:45;48).

The book of John is one of many informative books in the Holy Bible listing the many words of Jesus. Please read or reread until the Spirit shows you Who God says He is and not what His characteristics are. I know, it’s hard to separate the two.  All we have to ever do is go back to the beginning to know who God is because He never changes. My darlings, three words… “In the Beginning”,  say a lot more to us than some of us know or think. (TYHS)

Do you know Who Does God say that He Is?

I Love You
