Jesus Is The Chlorophyll That Gives The Christian A Characteristic Color- Holiness

Opening Thoughts- I was reading an Article of the Day from The Free Dictionary by Farlex on my cell as I wandered outside to look at my rose bushes I planted last September in honor of my “only” daughter’s thirtieth birthday. It’s a daily habit of reading to keep my brain alert, along with the Holy Bible to keep my mental and spiritual sense intact. And you know me, the Holy Spirit alerted me to write a blog about it. I held a few seminars several weeks ago titled Change Your Color for several church groups, and I am in awe by the Spirit of God sending me this colorful message on today. To Him, be the glory and honor. He has me thinking deep thoughts about light and its characteristic color- HOLINESS.  My holy roses absorbing light!  😛

So today’s article was about Chlorophyll. The Holy Spirit spoke to me as I was reading this- ‘Chlorophyll is a green pigment that gives most plants their color and enables them to carry out photosynthesis, the process through which plants get energy from light. Chlorophyll absorbs light in the red and blue-violet portions of the visible spectrum; the green portion is not absorbed and reflected, gives chlorophyll its characteristic green color. Only one animal has been found to use the chlorophyll it has eaten to perform photosynthesis itself. What is it?’ It’s not a chameleon.

As Children of God, let us ask ourselves- What is the process we must go through that will enable us to get energy from The Light? Using the wording in the article, I want to share with you the message received. (TYHS) Stay with me through the end here, ok? I know this is a long post; however it is a much needed post especially for those who are in darkness and those Children of God who have strayed somewhat from the light.

Here are six things shared with me by the Holy Spirit concerning the Christian process of photosynthesis:

  1. Know who formed light and the Light
Genesis 1: 1- 4– In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Isaiah 45:5-7I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
  2. Know who the Light is
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Matthew 3: 16-17– And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
  3. Know the purpose of the Light
1 Peter 2:9-10- 9 -But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Acts 26: 15-18– And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
John 12:45-46And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
  4. Know what can be found in the Light
John 14:6-Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1 John 5: 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
John 1:1-4 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
  5. Know how to absorb the Light
Matthew 6:20-23– But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Joshua 1: 8 -This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
1Peter 3:18– But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
  6. Know who God hears
    John 9:31
    – Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Closing Thoughts- Light brings life to ALL humans, plants, and animals. Without The Light , humans would be spiritually “blind as a bat” as the saying goes and experience stunted growth. Remember how God led His people to see where He was leading them? (TYHS) Meditate and let the Holy Spirit reveal to you why these verses are presented.

Exodus 13:21-22– And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

Isaiah 9:2 -The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Also, in Matthew 4:13-17– And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

I am by no means belittling our Savior when I say that He, Jesus is the chlorophyll (pigment per se) that gives the Christian light. The Light enables us to get energy/eternal life through Him. The Light has a characteristic color- HOLINESS. God said be ye Holy for I am Holy (Leviticus 11: 44 & 1 Peter 1:16)

Folly’s Antidote – Ecclesiastes 10

Let us take a look at the word folly, shall we?

Folly-n-the lack of good sense or judgment: a foolish act or idea: foolish behavior; Synonyms: absurdity, asininity, bêtise, craziness, fatuity, foolery, foppery, idiocy, irrationality, imbecility, inanity, insanity, lunacy, stupidity

If we were to be honest with self, can we agree that more than once in our lives we have experienced folly in our personal lives? I know that I have experienced many instances of lacking sense, behaving foolishly and just plain irrational when things didn’t go as I thought they should or just so stressed or angered  that led to making wrong decisions.

WE HAVE ALL HAD WHAT THEY CALL A “KEEPING IT REAL” MOMENT.

Sometimes folly just happens because of inexperience and/or no training of manners and matters. We just say or do things not becoming of our Lord because we lack experience or training in what He expects of us. Have you been there? (NIV Verse 13-14) “At the beginning their words are folly; at the end they are wicked madness— and fools multiply words. No one knows what is coming— who can tell someone else what will happen after them?” I am sure this happens to all, but some of us won’t admit it to self. Since God knows, I don’t see any sense in hiding the truth about self from self. It’s a stage that we all go through. Sometimes when you ask a true friend about your behavior and there is a silence that speaks louder than any words uttered, that’s a good sign that something needs to change about your behavior. And then there are those who feel the need to yap about something until they prove THEIR point, they seem to be using the drug of choice known as folly.

Please read Chapter 10 and let the Holy Spirit show you the importance of wisdom because tis true according to verse 1 that

“Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.” (KJV)

“As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor.”(NIV)

fly in aointment

Here’s the thing about folly. No matter how glorious or fantastic your life may be going, or how others perceive you as one of good character, one slip on the folly drug and you no longer are looked upon as one of good character by others. Folks have a hard time seeing the true actions of your heart. Even more importantly when you examine self, you have to be conscious of what your heart, not character says to God. Are others to judge? Are you to judge?

We all have experienced and will experience negative behaviors-character flaws in our lives associated with folly for whatever reason. We are to become wise and learn from our mistakes. Sometimes this takes a lot of practice.Verse one in this chapter speaks louder than an atomic bomb.

Once the smallest stench is found among the strongest of pleasant smells, the stench takes over. You will have to work hard to get rid of  a little stench, correct? In verse 10 Solomon agrees with me. He says that “If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.” How does one go about obtaining “skill” that “will bring success?” What is the definition of skill?

Skill –n- the ability to do something that comes from training, experience, or practice

How do we get rid of the dead flies and the stench?  I’m glad you asked. Dearest flowers, we, as the people of God need to focus on becoming more skillful and knowledgeable of what He requires, lack folly, and become less concerned about proving a point to show whose right or wrong. To do this, we must “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

With Him directing your paths you too will find that the ANTIDOTE for FOLLY is WISDOM. Wisdom helps us to get rid of stench and the dead flies just waiting to stink us up. Wisdom helps us to give off a more pleasing aroma to God.

What’s The Quantity of Light You Have in Your Life? 1 John 1

As I was studying 1 John thru 3 John, I decided to use another tool to assist in my study as well as being led to open up my dictionary.  I used The Biblical Expositor, Consulting Editor, Carl F. Henry.  The commentary on 1 John was written by Fred L. Fisher.  There were several statements that Fred made required me to think deeper after reading all three books of John.

According to Fred, “The author (John) does not consider these themes merely as ethical requirements, but as religious realities based upon the Christian revelation of God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore Christian doctrine lies at the root of the book, and one is tempted at times, to think of it as a doctrinal exposition of the reality of the incarnation of God in Christ. If we are to follow the mind of the writer, however, we must avoid this temptation, since he is primarily concerned with the quality of the Christian life of his readers.”

AND

“The plan of the book does not follow a logical order.  The writer thinks and writes intuitively with constant repetition of recurring themes. The book defies outlining and one must be satisfied to follow the course of the author’s thoughts as he deals with the great cluster of ideas which, to him, constitute the essence of the Christian life.”

I prayed  as I always do before studying His Word, that I would be following the mind of the Holy Spirit before beginning the study, and I guess it is a worthwhile thing to follow the mind of the writer at times and let the Holy Spirit guide you to an understanding of how it applies to self.  Now with that being said, isn’t it like us when we have a lot of ideas, more than much to say, when our mind and heart are overflowing with reverberations of things we have seen, heard, and experienced? We get anxious to share words about urgent matters and we just fly to the moon and back in a day with what we want to say before giving it more thought. We are a people, most, who like to share with others what they have learned and experienced especially if it is a joyful experience.

After all a light reveals ALL that is in the dark, right? I know I say this all the time, but it just amazes me how often the Holy Spirit leads, protects, and reminds me that I am not a material or selfish person.  I had another title I wanted to use, The Quantity of Light Determines the Quality of Life. For now we shall ride with the title I used. Ok? Alrighty then!  😛

While I was studying, the Holy Spirit threw a dictionary in front of me. Well He didn’t actually throw it, He more so guided me to pull it from my nightstand while I was reading 1 John.  I had not planned on writing anything  on this study. Sometimes we read things over and over and are instinctively unaware of a word’s true meaning, even the simplest of words like I, and, am, is, have, etc. I am a dictionary addict by birth though.

You will find a lot of simple words with definitions within this blog.  I promise you, that it will give you deeper thoughts about what John is trying to relay in his messages as it did me. You will find many blessings and learn what God desires of you as an individual when it comes to self and others.  1 John thru 3 John opened my eyes, my mind, and my heart to some truths about some Christians truly caring for the destiny of others.

I will admit openly, it has never been a worry of mine to care about whether one went to heaven or hell outside of friends and family.  The reason being was that I was not knowledgeable about how a person lives their life that I do not know, and I’ve always believed each individual have to answer for him/herself to God alone without my assistance. I believe there is always light in each and every one of us that let us know how important it is to be in line with God’s Will.  It is the individual who needs to find that true source of true light within them with the help of the Holy Spirit. It’s there!   Let us keep in mind that John’s message was to all those who follow Christ or at least were trying to follow his teachings, both children and adults, both men and women.

This, to me is one of the most encouraging books of the bible when it comes to being a light for others and self to find The Way out of the darkness.  It is my belief that John put himself on a level with each listener or reader of his words.  He/they definitely spoke from experience.  John also was concerned for the joy of others in the “Word of Life.”  AND, John informs us that “We write this to make our joy complete.”  He was also excited about the audience attaining joy by receiving their quantity of the True Light due to his experience.  Just think to share the joy of Christ with others must be a wonderful feeling.  I guess I do it at times by blogging.  I’m thinking that in order for joy to happen one must reach out to others to bring them into knowing the light they can have in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who is JOY.

Joy- the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires; a state of happiness; BLISS.   🙂  I decided to put the definition here so you can associate the two words as being in one …….Christ = Joy.

********************************************************************************************************

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

*********************************************************************************************************

While reading those passages above, please place focus on the words below and experience a deeper meaning of what John is stating about the “Word of Life”. Yes, he appears to be anxious and repeats the same message using several techniques in these 10 verses.

I found the word “have” to be a key word in John’s message to his/their experience about the Word of Life;

  • Have- to hold or maintain as a possession, privilege or entitlement.
  1. have heard (perceived by their ears gaining knowledge)
  2. have seen ( perceived with their eyes)
  3. have looked upon  (highly regarded)
  4. have handled (touched, felt)
  • Manifested- made evident or certain by showing or displaying; readily perceived by the senses, esp. the sight; easily understood or recognized by the mind. (TYHS!)
  • Declare- to make clear; to make evident; to show
  • Fellowship- community of interest, activity, feeling, or experience; the quality or state of being comradely (friendly, brotherly)
  • Full-containing as much or as many as is possible or normal; complete in detail, number, or duration; not lacking in any essential; complete
  • Light- something that makes vision possible; spiritual illumination; pure; Truth
  • Darkness- devoid of light; not receiving, reflecting, transmitting, or radiating light; arising from or showing evil traits or desires
  • Cleanse- purify; freed from dirt or pollution; having no interior flaws visible
  • Deceive- ensnare; to fail to fulfill; cheat; to cause to accept  as true or valid what is false or invalid
  • Confess-to tell or make known(as something wrong or damaging to oneself);admit
  • Faithful- full of belief and trust; LOYAL; firm in adherence to promises or in observance of duty; binding promise
  • Unrighteousness-sinfulness; wickedness; unjust; not righteous

Finally, my summary of thoughts on this chapter…. In Christ Jesus, you will not be lacking in anything and you will be privy to receive joy and more quantities of light in your life which will one day allow you to physically hear, see, look upon, and eventually handle(touch) our Heavenly Father when the Word of Life, returns for His bride. Living in darkness makes one unable to see the TRUTH to experience successful bliss which leads to a poor quality of life. . Have you discovered the quantity of light that you have in your life?  If it’s not much, what are you going to do about it?

Love Covers A Multitude of Sins

The ONE Commonality within the Human Race

Great Saturday to you! It started out as a great morning in His word and will end as a great night, because my God loves me, regardless. Today’s thoughts and blog title jumped out from the book of Romans early morn. Yeah! Yeah! Rah! Rah! Praise God! I’ve been meditating and praying for several months now to get a better understanding of when the Holy Spirit works within me making me more aware and wise concerning ALL things and ALL people that I am around and those I communicate with. With that being said, it brought to remembrance a quote made by Henry Varley in a book I read titled Moody: A Biography by John Pollock .

Henry Varley ~ “The world has yet to see what God will do with a man who is fully and wholly consecrated to the Holy Spirit.”

Bishop C. Mason. Inquisitive me!!!….I took to the net and lookie what I found.  Per Wiki, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Harrison_Mason I began reading about him and pulled these two quotes concerning The Holy Spirit.

“The Spirit came upon the saints and upon me…Then I gave up for the Lord to have His way within me. So there came a wave of Glory into me and all of my being was filled with the Glory of the Lord.”

“So when He had gotten me straight on my feet, there came a light which enveloped my entire being above the brightness of the sun. When I opened my mouth to say Glory, a flame touched my tongue which ran down me. My language changed and no word could I speak in my own tongue. Oh! I was filled with the Glory of the Lord. My soul was then satisfied.”

There is a reason for the above quotes at the end of this blog, I think. Now we shall move on to our subject at hand.  The One Commonality…Paul states it best in Romans 3:22-23 (KJV)

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

I repeat……….The One Commonality within the Human Race is that we…
“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

You know what this means, right? I am no better than you. You are no better than me. We are no better than the next person. Regardless of race, age, choice of religion, the house we live in, the car(s) and carts we own or drive, worldly titles and positions we hold, the truth Paul stated by far outweighs the dissimilarities of the human race. This is a very humbling statement.

Who better to relay this truth to us ALL than the Apostle Paul? Saul of Tarsus, a Jewish man also with Roman citizenship that persecuted and killed Christians without batting an eye. He tried diligently to destroy the Christian church. Lo and behold on a road to Damascus, he was made blind by the will of God, heard the voice of Jesus and obeyed, converted and later began using the Latin form of his name Paul. Of course you can read about it in the Book of Acts. (Side note, most Jews had two names in the form of Hebrew and Latin or Greek. Amazing eh? As they say Reading is Fundamental….you can learn a lot from reading just about anything.)

Get this! Paul presented the evidence before stating the truth that we have all sinned and come short. It has become the norm for most of the human race to present a statement then back it up with the evidence that it is the truth. For example, one might say “The earth is square. I shall prove it from the research I’ve gathered.” Just from reading Paul’s word, I’ve always seen a slight similarity between us. Such is life for a backwards writer and that of a humble speaker who will yell out loud if need be to make a point.

The Evidence – In Romans 1- 3:1- 21. Please read at your leisure! I am going to just present some of his truer points about the human race that he was “obligated” to speak to “other Gentiles, Greeks and Barbarians, both to the wise and unwise, and Jews.”

• Human beings suppress the truth by their wickedness
 • Humans are filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
 • Humans are “backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
After proving several points we move into Chapter 3: 9- What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;  Paul makes that statement before quoting the Old Testament in Romans 3:11-18. (Please read) My belief is that he proves to them in those verses that sin operates at innumerable levels within the human race, and that arrogance makes one unable to detect the truth about sin.

Sin is like a chain that enslaves and restricts us. (Oh! Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit for that deep insight! ) Nowadays, we even dress sin up and hide it behind the words – freedom and rights, and call it something else believing that God will not judge us for it. I won’t go into detail there, just take a look at the things going on in the world today by biblical standards that are indeed sin. Yup! We’re all in the same boat. Some of us are trying our darndest to get off the boat and swim to a Godly shore, plant ourselves, nourish and grow in the word of God, and take on a strong root in Christ. We will get there and at that time we will overcome.

We can carry out this plan with the help of the Holy Spirit teaching, moving, and guiding us to do God’s will in our lives. The reason I posted the Holy Spirit quotes is because I believe the Holy Spirit to be a manifestation of God and His Glory within us, and when we submit to Him from the heart, we are able to fight against sin, we get a glimpse of and can feel His presence; therefore seeking honor, glory, immortality and to have life eternal with our Heavenly Father in the place Jesus has prepared for us. We need to remember that He is our Helper; that He can help us in many ways to stop coming up short of the Glory of God. ~Romans 2:7 -To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
J.R. Miller said “It is a great deal easier to do that which God gives us to do, no matter how hard it is, than to face the responsibilities of not doing it.” I have been IN AWE and HUMBLED while studying these three chapters this morning, and Gasp! Lord have mercy, now it’s almost 7PM…..God really loves me. God really loves you. God really loves us ALL. Still the fact remains that we all have this one Commonality within the Human Race……“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” And for that reason my love bird’s we shall all be judged by Him…“For there is no respect of persons with God.” (Rom 2: 11)

LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS

The Gift Jesus Left – My Thoughts

Oh my word! I could just be kicked twice over. I was reading the book of John after meditating on some Psalms earlier. I came across something I boldly admit to you all, that I’ve NEVER paid attention to in all these years of spending time in His word. Many thanks to my Comforter for bringing this to my attention!
Aren’t you just dying to find out what it is? In previous readings of John, my focus has always been on verses 1-20. Ok, ok… John 14:27. My heart when troubled recites the end of His statement He made to His disciples. Lord I don’t know how I overlooked the beginning of that verse. I’ll include verse 26 just for the JOY of it.
Jesus said….
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

***“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”***

Peace aka Ceasefire; Reconciliation; Harmony; Amity (not Amityville Horror); Goodwill; etc. etc.

I suppose we all get lost in scripture sometimes, and it truly takes the Holy Spirit to reveal its secrets and understanding to us individually in God’s time.  The Lord has been telling me for a while now, that I can have peace within by saying no to things that He Himself showed me was not His will for me to do. Sometimes we get caught up in the problems of others and their attitudinal behaviors which make us lack peace within. We all need to be aware of the differentiation between a learned talent and a spiritual gift. Sometimes we get caught up in doing things we think are our gift to share with others. Sometimes He will put up a roadblock sign for us NOT to ignore “one last time” even if it’s doing something within the church and workplace.  PEACE!

It’s ok that people get upset with us for not doing things that they want us to do. We too can give the gift of peace to others by saying either I’m sorry or I forgive you when there is tension flying around like fog with wings.  😛  We are all called to serve temporarily  and differently in some stages of service for the Lord both inside and outside of the church. It was brought to my remembrance while reading John 14, Jesus didn’t stay in one place teaching, performing miracles, feeding others, and sharing the word of God.

Reading this verse before bedtime was no accident… that I’m sure of. God has given us so many things (gifts) and have placed so many people in our lives, of which we are thankful and some of us are not so thankful and should be thankful. Jesus suffered and was thankful. Jesus was a gift from God. The gift that Jesus left us is HIS PEACE. Allow me to repeat what Jesus said:

“Peace I leave with you, MY PEACE I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto YOU…”

It appears the world has not accepted His gift he left. It is my opinion that this is why the world as a whole cannot and will not have peace until Jesus’ return to clean up this mess. BUT, as an individual you can accept His gift of peace given unto you.  You’ll just have to decide in your heart to accept His gift of peace given unto you. Anything not accepted from God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit leaves the human race living in chaos. As for me and being made aware via my Comforter, I accept His gift of “Peace” left with and given unto me.

It is as clear as the River of Life aka Rio de Vida to me now; the world cannot give me peace like Jesus can. Still growing in His Word and in the name of Jesus! May you be blessed by this blog and let no one person on this earth, take His gift of peace away from you. It is my prayer that you REALIZE who the gift of peace comes from when your heart is troubled and afraid. To be left with and given peace from the Lord, oh what a blessed gift! TYHS!  🙂

Wheat,Tares/Weeds & Faith? – Part 1 – My Thoughts

My Heart’s Moment– Before I begin this blog, I wanted to share with you, that I speak to self as well when writing about my thoughts. The Holy Spirit guides me much in sharing messages via my blog and dreams. I don’t write unless I am moved by Him, not pushed by scriptures or events pertaining to us all.  The Holy Spirit MOVES. I am being made aware, learning, and/or convicted just as much as those who are reading along.  I am growing and learning right along with you ridding self of my weeds daily if not hourly.

Our Agriculture Moment

Weed – noun (Concise Encyclopedia)

Any plant growing where it is not wanted. On land under cultivation, weeds compete with crops for water, light, and nutrients. On rangelands and in pastures, weeds are those plants that grazing animals dislike or that are poisonous. Many weeds are hosts of plant disease organisms or of insect pests. Some originally unwanted plants later were found to have virtues and came under cultivation, while some cultivated plants, when transplanted to new climates, escaped cultivation and became weeds in the new habitat.  (Gasp!)

 ***************************************************************************************************************

Wow, I learned something new about weeds…have virtues and came under cultivation…hmm? You know by now…..I love studying definitions to find a deeper meaning of words. I investigate to find an answer with the help of the Holy Spirit and quite often have a colorful perspective to share with you.  🙂

As a child I hated having to help plant and dig up dirt. I did enjoy putting the seeds in the holes, pulling the weeds and sometimes the flowers on accident when the plants grew. I loved looking at my grandparents lawns.  It was at that time, I was taught how to tell the weeds from the flowers.  I also became fascinated with clovers. Although we consider them a pest and they only look good in a field afar, it is something special about those wild growing plants that we call weeds. And….Even though it looks pretty together, can you spot the difference in the wheat and tares in the above photo, courtesy of photo bucket?

Here we go! So as I was reading Matthew 13 last night, I had my thoughts floating on verses 24-30.  Jesus’ parables are messages to us giving us a description of the “Kingdom of God”. Most of us are familiar with Jesus’ parable of the weeds and the wheat. If not, here it is.

Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.  So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’  He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Are you ready to do yard work and learn a little chemistry and agriculture?  Grab your container of Roundup or Preen (it works better) a hoe, and some Holy Ghost matches. We are going to set ourselves on fire and rid ourselves of weeds through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Fancy that! “The weight of a container or wrapper that is deducted from the gross weight to obtain net weight”  ahem! Let’s go inside my thoughts here.

Our body is the container. We are wheat at birth. Oh! Let me throw in the definition of “wheat” here. Thank you Holy Spirit! Pay close attention to the words in bold, please.

Wheat – /noun – the grain of any cereal grass of the genus Triticum,  especially T. aestivum,  used in the form of flour for making bread, cakes, etc., and for other culinary and nutritional purposes: the plant itself.

We have been planted for a purpose. That purpose is to do the will of God. We have been formed for His making to glorify Him. We do NOT come into this world with weeds.  Weeds/Tares just happen to be planted and even cultivated along the way when our guard is down. Tares/Weeds are in competition with the Wheat as stated above. They are snares, no matter how pretty some may seem. Our problem is that we feed them, forgetting that we have the power to also stunt a weeds growth and even kill them. Talk about us being lax. If animals dislike weeds and know that they are poisonous, shouldn’t we as humans be more advanced in knowing the hazard of weeds? Note what the scripture stated above in the parable, it is the ENEMY who plants weeds. I repeat…It is the ENEMY who plants weeds and He does it when we are sleeping, i.e. being lax. Jesus said it. Sometimes we miss that in reading the parable. Do you see it now? I see it. Thank you Holy Spirit!

We have been naturally given a net weight by God. What is net weight you may ask?  A great example would be our bodies. The net weight is the weight of our body without any piece of clothing (remember Adam and Eve before). Gross weight is the weight of our body with clothes or anything else we add on it.(Remember Adam and Eve after) Have you ever given any thought to weighing yourself before you eat and after eating to see if your weight remains the same?  Since the thought just popped up, I think I’m going to try a scientific experiment. I’ll let you know the outcome. 😛

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I’ve realized over the years that I/we carry added weights/weeds within our hearts and our minds. What are those weights? Gosh! Is this becoming a questionnaire post, self said to self. YES, since you asked. Thank you Holy Spirit!  Using my partial (3 college credits Psy 101) psychology background, I will dare to  fly out and say that unmanaged stress is the biggest weight/weed we add to our hearts and mind. Great examples of our unmanaged stress are anger, anxiety, bitterness, fear, guilt, hostility, and moroseness (aka moodiness). All of these descriptions are a form of one word- Sin. That’s my belief.  Did you know that we have the given ability to deal with and rid/weed ourselves of such extra weeds through our lifeline, Jesus? I’ll prove it. –

Commercial -Bible Break Proof

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 4:30-32

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.  Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.  And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Galatians 5:19-21

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Now back to our regularly scheduled blogging….. All of those things mentioned in Galatians 5:19-21 are tares/weeds, gross weight of which we carry within our being. Those of us that believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit know in our hearts and minds that we cannot enter the kingdom of God with such weeds. Somewhere in the bible it is stated that the kingdom of God is within us. If we believe so, we know that there are neither tares, neither weeds, nor gross weight within us. We need to work on deducting the gross weight (tares/weeds) from our body to get back to our natural net weight. An exercise in futility is not an option. An exercise in humility will work it out.

Are there any weeds or tares in your life? What is undesirable in your life? What are you going to do to arrive back at your net weight? Do you realize what your net weight is worth to God? I challenge you as well as myself to recognize when it is time to reap and harvest in your day-to-day life. A time will come for us to set aside the tares, the weeds and burn them to ashes.  Let us start gardening, ridding ourselves of the weeds. Let us bring to remembrance what the garden was like before Adam and Eve (Genesis 2-3) sinned and what it will be like when Jesus returns to get our tare/weed free bodies (Revelation  2:7 and 22) Isn’t that a stress-free thought?

Sometimes it takes you removing yourself from those who carry the weight/weeds that can rub off and grow on you.  This goes for those who experience negative vibes from those in your work place, in your church(yes even there), and in your family and perhaps some relationship you have with another.  Sin, i.e. tares/weeds from the enemy does not care or “give a rat’s tail” (my grandma’s words) who or what it embodies as long as it finds a good growing place. Having Faith in Jesus and what you can do through him, with him, and for God can rid self of the tares/weeds in your life. Amen.

I found it! Here it is—Read what Luke said about the Kingdom of God-

Luke 17:20-21

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary”(stress weeds…my thought), “they will walk and not be faint”( have faith). –Isaiah 40:28-31

I LOVE YOU

LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS

The Power Of Faith- My Thoughts

Full of Christ

Wow! November is almost over. This year has flown by as time normally fly in and out each blessed given day. I was reading my Seeking God study plan tonight from the Book of Matthew, Chapter 9.  I was slapped outta the wild dark sky with full moon light, the Faith Spirit took over. Thank you Jesus!

It’s amazing how I find and/or how we find things that have been there all along, even after reading it over and over again. We have to be totally engulfed in the Spirit to know its true meaning and how it applies to one’s life, when diving and swimming into the Word of God. The Bible, duh!  I felt like a red shiny apple thrown into a warm melted bowl of caramel, just covering me all over, ready for eating enjoyment when reading these scripture reminders about FAITH.  For the love of Christ, let’s call it the wisdom growth stage that we experience as we crawl, walk, run, jump, climb, and swim more with Him.

Ok, ok, so I was reading about FAITH. And it occurred to me, that FAITH is a thing very powerful, dominant, governing, and prevailing. Lord, have mercy Jesus, what a noun!  Nouns are a person, place, or thing….correct? Before I go a ranting, let’s just look at the definition of FAITH for faith’s sake.

faith n.

1. Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.

2. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See Synonyms at belief, trust.

3. Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one’s supporters.

4. often Faith Christianity The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God’s will.

Here we go now!

In Matthew 9:18-33, we read about 4 beautifully written episodes of faith. I’ll just break it down here.

  1.  The woman with the issue of bleeding for 12 years. What did she do? Reached out and touched in FAITH and was healed at that very moment. Let’s shout it together.  FAITH IS POWERFUL.
  2. The synagogue leader who went to Jesus and said “My daughter has just died, But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.”  What did the leader do? He believed before taking Jesus to his daughter. Shout! FAITH IS GOVERNING.
  3. The two blind men following Him, just a calling out for Him to have mercy on them. They went in behind closed doors and (watch this) Jesus asked them “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” What did they say? “YES LORD.” Shout it on out! FAITH IS PREVAILING.
  4. While the two newly bright eyed and joyful tattlers were going out, someone brought in a man who was demon-possessed AND could not talk, to see Jesus. Hold on beloved to that horsey bridle!  Here is the wild ride. (a)He can’t speak to tell Jesus what he desires. (b)He is possessed by a dominating demon.(c) He is face to face with Jesus…..he is no longer possessed by a demon AND he can speak. Shout it out! AND “Ride like the wind Bullseye!” (Woody from Toy Story) FAITH IS DOMINANT.

Ride like the wind Bullseye!

In these 4 events I’ve chosen, I hope you noticed as I did with the help of the Holy Spirit, these individuals either came to Jesus or Jesus was taken to the place after being sought out. You have to have faith in Him in order for Him to be pleased. Why would anyone do anything for you if they were not pleased with you in a Christ like manner? Think on it! <————–ITALICIZED BOLD  IS HERE   🙂

And here’s moi summary which proves 2 major FACT’S about FAITH from that author unknown who brews and also knew a lot about FAITH.  If you need a reminder on the lesson of Faith, read the entire Book of Hebrews.

1.      Hebrews 11:1-Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2.      Hebrews 11:6-But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Now, my faithful and faith believing beloved one’s, skip back up to my words in italicized bold.  Do you see where I’m coming from by presenting these two FACT finding scriptures about FAITH?

Aside from it being the will of God, because of their FAITH in Him, Jesus was able to heal a sick woman, raise a dead girl, heal two blind men, and cast out a demon and He gave a mute man the gift of speech. He must have been giving a 2 for 1 special for the demon possessed one on that day. His faith must have been immeasurable.  I’m sure it wasn’t like  “Black Friday” after Thanksgiving.  😛

And might I add FAITH is a protective coating for us. It is a part of the whole/full armor of God. Let’s read about it:

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:8 (NIV)-But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
  • Ephesians 6:10-18 (NIV)——-The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Closing It!  🙂  😛

FAITH PLAYS A BIG PART IN MAKING IT TO THE HOLY CITY THAT’S A COMING DOWN! That’s my belief. Keep The Faith! It’s your JOY in the Lord. It’s your SHIELD.

Never, ever, ever, let anyone steal YOUR JOY and DON’T you take JOY away from others.

LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS

Quotes About Humility :-)

Allow me to share the word of the song with you, so you can sing along with me or on your own.  Absolutely no singing off key, sing with the Spirit, ok? Let’s go! Ah 1, 2, and a 3…Hit it!

There is a Name I love to hear, I love to sing its worth; It sounds like music in my ear, The sweetest Name on earth. It tells me of a Savior’s love, Who died to set me free; It tells me of His precious blood, The sinner’s perfect plea.

  • Refrain: Oh, how I love Jesus, Oh, how I love Jesus, Oh, how I love Jesus, Because He first loved me!

It tells me of a Father’s smile Beaming upon His child; It cheers me through this little while, Through desert, waste, and wild.

It tells me what my Father hath In store for every day, And though I tread a darksome path, Yields sunshine all the way.

It tells of One whose loving heart Can feel my deepest woe; Who in each sorrow bears a part That none can bear below.

It bids my trembling heart rejoice; It dries each rising tear; It tells me, in a “still small voice,” To trust and never fear.

Jesus, the Name I love so well, The Name I love to hear: No saint on earth its worth can tell, No heart conceive how dear.

This Name shall shed its fragrance still Along this thorny road, Shall sweetly smooth the rugged hill That leads me up to God.

And there with all the blood-bought throng, From sin and sorrow free, I’ll sing the new eternal song Of Jesus’ love for me.

*********JESUS LOVES YOU**********

Now if I could just whip others into the stage….LOL  😛  😛   Enjoy the quotes below, and pay close attention to the blessing for you at the end.

And Now Our Bible Verses On Humility 🙂

1 Corinthians 3:18– Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise.

*****************************************************************************************

Most importantly my lovely ones, let us keep this in mind, on the heart, and put into action at all times:

Philippians 2 Verses 1-11  Imitating Christ’s Humility

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,  then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,  not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.  In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:  Who, being in very nature God,  did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;  rather, he made himself nothing  by taking the very  nature of a servant,  being made in human likeness.  And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,  in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Thank you Holy Spirit For This Post!!!!!!!

Quotes I Love About Sin

It is so amazing that a little three letter word can cause such havoc in our lives and pull us away from doing what’s right in our heart and God’s will. For this reason, I want to share this post.  Sometimes preaching the word doesn’t get through to some, but when a person speaks on a level for one to understand, it can lead them to reading the word of God to prove that His word is true. This is where most quotes concerning subjects about the human race come in handy. And if you enjoy reading quotes, please read the Book of Proverbs.

I believe most quotes made by others derive from the book, and reworded for us to grasp the meaning that is more applicable to the level of our understanding the WORD. We grow daily in faith and belief as we dine in the Word of God.  God speaks to us in so many ways.  Open your minds, feel with your hearts, hear with your ears, and see with your eyes, just how FORGIVING  our Heavenly Father, Savior, and Protector is.  And since He freely forgives, let us also practice forgiving others and moving forward, onward, and upward, cause SIN will without a doubt will keep you under and have you feeling like a snake always crawling on its belly leaving skidmarks in the dust or wherever it roams.

Enjoy my loves!  Here is some Ling for your plate. Enjoy the meal and look up the definition of LING.  I happen to run across the word because I sinned in error of a typo and had to find out the meaning of my erroneous word.

Wow, I have to refresh myself on Luther’s beliefs.

God’s mercy is so GREAT. It is so awesome how much He loves me, He loves Us.

Thank you Lord for the forgiveness of Sins.

To close this out I want to add in the words of Martin Luther

The Thing to Confess To God and Why-My Thoughts- Part 2

Psalm 51 (Continued)

ADMIT IT TO GOD

3 For I acknowledge my sin is ever before me.

4 Against You, You only have I sinned and done this evil in Your sight- That You may be found just when You speak and blameless when You judge

First, My Good Ranting

Why

Unconfessed sin separates us further away from God. If we try to hide our sin, I firmly believe we are keeping blessings away and neglecting the will of God our Father. Remember Adam and Cain, what happened when they tried to hide and not confess? We are lying to God, if we do not confess and are cast off from him. See what Isaiah has to say below. He knows we are all sinners. Even though God knows all, He is waiting for us, His children, to acknowledge so that we KNOW in our heart and soul WE did wrong and truly want to change. It all goes back to the condition of our heart. (See post-Guarding Your Heart https://talkativeangel.wordpress.com/2012/08/05/guarding-your-heart-my-thoughts-16-2/)

We can’t seek His kingdom and righteousness when in denial with self. Jesus tells us to seek His kingdom in Matthew 6:33. (Please read at your leisure) If we confess, and do right, He forgives us and we are covered as long as we stop committing the sin. Wow, we have so much work to do with self, don’t we, with even the smallest of sin? No matter how large or how small it is per our perception, God sees any sin as SIN

Pray and CONFESS!  It is my belief that God’s forgiveness of our sins is one of the most important and loving gifts He gives.

Biblical Reasons

  • Psalm 32:1- Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven whose sin is covered
  • Psalm 32:2- Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity and in whose spirit there is no guile.
  • Jeremiah 3:11-13- Then the Lord said to me, “Backsliding Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.  Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: ‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord; ‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful,’ says the Lord; ‘I will not remain angry forever.  Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God,
  • Acts 3:19- Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
  • Ephesians 1:4- just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
  • Job 8:20- Behold, God will not cast away the blameless, Nor will He uphold the evildoers.
  • Isaiah 59:2-3 – But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perversity.
  • Isaiah 59:9- Therefore justice is far from us, nor does righteousness overtake us; We look for light, but there is darkness! For brightness, but we walk in blackness.
  • Proverbs 28:13- He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
  • 1 John 1:9- If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and so cleanse us from our unrighteousness.

My Conclusion

Matthew 7:21-23-21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Believe What Jesus Said

With those verses in mind spoken by Jesus Himself, I encourage us all to confess our sins to God, and pray for Him to guide our heart that we may follow the teachings of Jesus and be able to enter His kingdom of heaven. Without confession, how will you know to do His will? If you don’t know His will, you are indeed lawless, right? Remember any sin committed, you have not only committed it against self and another, but God Himself.  Think on these questions to have an idea of how He feels. You know the feeling, if you have kids who have not confessed a wrongdoing to you that you know about? You know the feeling if you have a spouse or significant other who has wronged you and not confessed? You know the feeling when you know you have been treated unfairly and wronged by others, but they never admit to their wrongdoing?

AND NOW I’LL SHUT IT.  SETTLE YOUR ISSUES WITH GOD FIRST.  🙂  😛
